A Junior Infant teacher uses Scratch to support teaching and learning in a multi-grade setting. The teacher includes station teaching as a mode of assessment. Scratch as well as Stop Motion Animation are used as modes of assessment. The senior pupils, in stations, facilitate this work amongst the younger pupils.
Description
A class teacher shows how she uses Scratch and Stop Motion to support teaching and learning in a multi-grade setting. Over the course of two weeks the book ‘The Rainbow Fish’ is explored, the teacher includes 3 stations set up with iPads where Scratch coding and Stop Motion Animation are used by the pupils. The senior pupils, in stations, facilitate this work amongst the younger pupils. Peer and self assessment are used in the lesson.
