Tablets for Assessment
Video Overview
Two teachers outline how they use tablets for assessment in Maths. Tablets enable the teachers to provide audio-visual feedback for pupils and to create targeted goals for individual children. All assessments are saved to Google Drive as an ePortfolio.
Description
The video looks at assessment of Maths through the use of ICT, focusing on formative assessment. Students are given a task to complete by using the audio and text provided; and students later use the audio, camera and pen tools to enhance their completion of the task. Students upload their completed piece to Google Drive; where the teacher assesses and reviews the work. Students then look at their feedback to make appropriate changes. Tablets are used in this assessment process and children can also log on at home to share their learning and feedback with parents.
