Using VR headsets to engage pupils in a local area project
Video Overview
Teachers at St. Mark’s Senior National School describe how they introduced VR headsets in the classroom and use them to enable pupils to explore their local area in virtual reality.
Description
Pupils use VR Headsets to create a virtual tour of their locality. The Expeditions Pro app as well as Google Expeditions was used. This multimedia project included pupils taking on the role of a ‘tour guide’ drafting key information on a local landmark. They uploaded voiceovers and annotated their drafts. This project was particularly beneficial for visual learners.
