Safer Internet Day: Tech in our World Event

This year’s SID 2024 “Tech in Our World” event will be broadcast live today, Tuesday 6th February from 11.00am to 12.45pm, for students and teachers to view and participate in. The theme will explore young people’s views on new and emerging technology, and the changes they would like to see online.
Hosted by Claire Brock from Virgin Media, the event will feature contributions from the Webwise Youth Advisory Panel; Niamh Hodnett, Online Safety Commissioner; Kieran McCorry, National Technology Officer – Microsoft; and Dr Emma Murphy, School of Computer Science – TU Dublin.
Complementary interactive discussions will explore some of the opportunities and challenges as they relate to the role of the internet in young people’s lives.
