Using Scoilnet Services for History

Interview with Teacher about the use of Scoilnet in her History classroom. She discusses how the tools available allow the students to conduct their own research. The class are given a project on a topic, they conduct their own research and present it to the class through Google Docs and Padlet.

Description

3rd year History teacher discusses the benefits of technology in their classroom. Teacher explains how Scoilnet is a brilliant resource, alllowing pupils to conduct research independantly. Teacher uses Learning Paths which allows pupils to follow links to sites in a logical path. Pupils then worked in groups to rearch different personalities using Britanica, Dictionary of Irish Biography and JSTOR. Pupils research their different personliaites and upload their findings to the class Padlet. Teacher also discusses the benefits of alphabet Ireland.
