We are presenting at the CESI Conference 2023

Members of the PDST Primary and Post Primary Digital Technologies team will be presenting at this year’s CESI conference.
The primary workshop will explore new and creative ways of engaging with curricular content using Augmented Reality (AR). We will explore a variety of apps that can be used to promote the meaningful integration of AR into teaching and learning across a number of curricular areas to spark the interest of pupils and enhance their engagement. We will show current examples of the integration of AR in Irish classrooms and signpost courses and materials available to teachers.
The Post Primary session will explore how digital technologies may support & engage EAL learners in our classrooms. We will facilitate teachers to explore a selection of digital tools that may support EAL learners to access the same curriculum as their peers as well as support EAL learners to make use of their home language to strengthen their social, cognitive and academic skills.
The 2023 annual conference of the Computers in Education Society of Ireland (CESI) will take place on Saturday 11th March, 2023. CESI will be celebrating their Golden Jubilee, all under the theme of “50 Years and Growing”. The conference will take place in ATU Galway City.
